where is the logic?

Can please someone come to my rescue, and explain something to me!!!

Ok - we had the famous free democratic elections in Iraq now, and after tow weeks we also know the results fairly definitely.
Sustanis bunch won, but I would say luckily he can't completely dominate the scene thanks to the Kurds.
OK so far everything seems halfway reasonable, but why is Georgy calling on Iran now to take their freedom? I mean, sorry, given the fact that even in Iraq the Theheranian Mullahs and their local puppets won a democratic election - what the hell do you expect would be the outcome in Iran?
Suddenly a Pro-American westernly oriented and secular government (the one that was promised to the world to take place in Iraq)?
When does little georgy actually understand that just as he was elected by a bunch of religious fanatic idiots, the same idiots - just of a different religion - unfortunately support the same kind of idiot as leader in other countries.
Democracy is a very vulnerable system, that does depend on a number of societal preconditions. Untill you reach such a state democracy is leading to the same intolerant repressive governments that were there in the first place.
But then I#m sure America is proud to have given the Iraqis the freedom to choose their own 'Islamic Republic'. Long live the sharia (refering to the islamic code of law)!!!
